Sverige näst EU-bäst på nätet
25 februari 2015Bara Danmark kommer före när EU-kommissionen rankar medlemsländernas nätvanor och digitala ekonomier.
I ett nytt index sammanställer EU-kommissionen fem kategorier som återspeglar hur väl internet och digitala tjänster är utbyggda. Högst betyg får Danmark, därefter Sverige.
Sverige får det höga betyget bland annat tack var ett välutbyggt bredband. 99 procent av de svenska hushållen har tillgång till fast bredband vilket enligt kommissionen är ”anmärkningsvärt med tanke på Sverige geografiska form”. Sverige toppar listan i huvudkategorin ”nätaktiviteter” – bland annat nyhetsläsning, e-handel och betalning av fakturor på nätet.
Sveriges sämsta placering inom en huvudkategori rör digitala offentliga tjänster. Här hamnar landet på en femte plats.
I botten hamnar EU:s två fattigaste länder Rumänien och Bulgarien.
Enligt sammanställningen använder tre fjärdedelar av EU-borna internet dagligen.
I maj presenterar EU-kommissionen en ny plan för den digitala inre marknaden. Den väntas bland annat röra frågor om upphovsrätt över gränserna, så att man exempelvis kan använda en internettjänst som webb-tv i alla medlemsländer, men också förslag på hur man lättare ska kunna e-handla i andra medlemsländer.
