Invandrare ska läras nederländska normer
BRYSSEL 21 februari 2013 | Oroas för rumäner och bulgarerDen nederländske socialministern Lodewijk Asscher vill att alla som vill bo i Nederländerna ska skriva under ett kontrakt.
Den nederländska regeringen följer Storbritannien i spåren och är uttalat bekymrad över att ett stort antal rumäner och bulgarer kan komma att söka sig till landet när de sista restriktionerna för dessa försvinner den första januari 2014.
Kontraktet som socialministern Lodewijk Asscher förespråkar ska göra migranter ”mer medvetna om de normer och värderingar som gäller i landet där de bor och arbetar”.
– Vi betalar annars ett enormt pris för kravlösheten, sade Lodewijk Asscher, ansvarig minister för integration på onsdagen till nederländska tidningen Volkskrant.
Enligt den socialdemokratiske ministern ska alla invandrare, även de från EU, tvingas skriva under det han kallar ett ”deltagarkontrakt”.
– Den kulturella integrationen fungerar dåligt, det är till och med tal om en tillbakagång när det gäller hur man ser på homosexualitet, judar och kvinnor, sade Lodewijk Asscher.
Enligt tidningen är dock oklart huruvida kontraktet ska vara ett krav för att få skriva in sig i landet.
Nederländerna stoppar i EU:s ministerråd sedan en tid tillbaka tillträdet för Rumänien och Bulgarien till passunionen Schengen.
Även i Storbritannien är oron stor för vad som kommer att ske när restriktionerna för rumäner och bulgarer att arbeta i övriga EU-länder försvinner.
